Korean Husband Singaporean Wife

I have been pretty inactive in blogging for 10 months, thinking that life has been rather routine and that not much people read blogs these days as Facebook/Instagram became the common medium for sharing info. I was surprised to know that there are many Korean boyfriend/spouse with local Singaporeans. I recently joined the kakao group, which in short we named the group as KBS, which comprises more than 15 couples and still growing. However most of the members' spouse are from Seoul, Busan, etc. Squirry is probably the only one from Daejeon so far in the group. I believe there will be more to come as more people from Daejeon travels out or picks up English.

Picture above was taken during a recent gathering on 25 sep at Oven & Friend Chicken (Telok Ayer).

My husband is finally a PR

My husband finally has gotten his PR. We applied in April 2014 after our ROM. And in Feb 2015, we finally gotten news. It took us about 10 months. Generally speaking, it is very fast already. There may be a couple of reasons that lead to that...
1) He is a Korean
2) He studied in Singapore before
3) We appealed through MP
4) I had a stable job to be a sponsor.
5) He is a guy who has done NS

It was great that he has gotten his PR as he wasn't able to change his job despite hating it due to its really harsh long working hours. The Employment Pass (EP) he was holding on to was tied to the company and if he quit, he may have to leave Singapore if he couldn't find a job in time.

Now that he has gotten his PR, he has quit his job and serving his 2 months notice period. We planned to go for a 1 month tour before starting my new job.

Solemnization ~ ROM ~ the day I became Mrs Ro

That's me, before my hairstyling.

I wonder what triggered our reaction to be so dramatic.
I find this picture comical as my hunny looked busy while I posed for pictures.

My close friends and I. Jasmine and Qiyue have been my friends since 1997.

My mother-in-law looks so young.

RoNeo 1st family time together

Sungsoo's parents arrived late at night on 6th Mar. Initially, I thought of the taxi ride would be on AYE, which would showcase the fantastic nightview of Marina Bay area. But the hotel was near Novena, hence the taxi took the PIE route from Changi. The journey was kind of dark with nothing much to see and it failed to make any wonderful first impression.

The next day, we brought Sungsoo's parents to Orchard Road and Gardens By the Bay. When we were at ION, my cute 어머님 skipped around and commented "The city is where I belong." We also brought them to have Ding Tai Fung. They liked the Xiao Long Bao, Dou Miao and Dumpling soup most.

Finally after walking for the whole day, Sungsoo's parents met up with my family. Unfortunately, we didn't have a full RoNeo family photo. I must say that Sungsoo's Dad made my dad really very happy. There were like long lost brothers. Language was no barrier for them. :)
